Chet’s Rent-All, a family-owned equipment and tool rental company serving the greater Detroit area since 1946, is looking for dependable and experienced CDL Drivers to join our team. With eight locations and a long-standing reputation for reliability, we take pride in delivering quality equipment and exceptional service to contractors, homeowners, and project enthusiasts alike.

We are seeking safety-focused and customer-oriented drivers to support the delivery and pickup of rental equipment across our service area. In this fast-paced, service-driven role, you will be responsible for transporting a wide range of equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups while maintaining excellent communication with dispatch, yard teams, and customers.

As a key part of our operations team, you will help ensure equipment arrives on time and in proper working condition, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a heavy-duty rollback truck to transport equipment to and from job sites. 
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. 
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. 
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and pick-ups. 
  • Load and unload equipment, ensuring it is properly secured and documented. 
  • Demonstrate equipment operation to customers when needed. 
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service during all interactions. 
  • Complete logs and reports, including delivery documentation, fuel logs, and inspections. 
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company policies.
     
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. 
  • Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with equipment transport. 
  • Strong knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations. 
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions. 
  • No recent moving or driving violations. 
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment. 
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
